Abstrakt (ENG):

The article develops reflections on the creative space available to editors when publishing texts from earlier literary periods. The first half focuses on the work of the editor in general, which in our conditions cumulates several functions (editor, scholar, manager and sometimes publisher). The second part responds to the editorial efforts of Jozef Minárik, which can be considered creatively handled from several aspects, and thus engaging for the reader. It describes his working procedures and methods, which are an example of scientific precision and editorial creativity and which have contributed to the popularisation of texts of older Slovak literature.
