Abstrakt (ENG):
The text focuses on the older, but especially the most recent translation of Mayakovsky’s poetry into Czech. It maps the initial situation, the translation tradition in the Czech environment, and the subsequent difficulties that the translators of the most recent translation into Czech – Jana Kitzlerová and Vojtěch Frank – had to deal with in the course of their work on the new translation of Mayakovsky’s poems (first volume published by Academia in Prague in 2021, the second volume forthcoming).
