Abstrakt (ENG):
The study focuses on the image of Methodius in medieval hagiographic literary works. These are texts of Great Moravian provenance. We compare them with other medieval Hungarian legends and look for parallels that exist between them. We also focus on legends of Bohemian provenance. These present a different picture of the Methodius than the Great Moravian texts. To a greater extent, they focus on the spread of Christianity in Bohemia. The treatment of the legend thus depends on the environment in which it was written.
