Abstrakt (ENG):

The article focuses on the historical figure of St. Gorazd in the poetry of the contemporary Slovak poet Teofil Klas. The starting point is the Slovak cultural tradition of St. Gorazd. We clarify the concept of the tradition of St. Gorazd and characterize its artistic manifestations in Slovak literature with an emphasis on poetry. The focus of the article is the analysis and interpretation of the poem The Voice of Priest Gorazd (1999) by Teofil Klas. We examine how he depicted the figure of St. Gorazd (historical context, character profile, applied motifs).
