Abstrakt (ENG):

The study deals with Faust’s ideal efforts to crack open the secrets of nature and find signs of God’s existence in it. This eternal longing, which has been called Faustian, can be compared to the attempts of modern Physics to discover the so‑called God particle, i.e. Higgs boson, or get over the so‑called Planck wall to the beginnings of the universe. However, Faust realizes that such a goal cannot be achieved by means of pure reason (that is, by means of academic learning or using only exact scientific methods) but only through INSIGHT. Insight is the result of concrete understanding, as viewed by Arthur Schopenhauer in his The World as Will and Representation. This is why Faust resorts to magic which through the sign of macrocosm and the apparition of the Earth Spirit gives him enough INSIGHT to allow him to feel equal to God.
