Abstrakt (ENG):
The study deals with ideological distortions and their revelation in the narration of Rudolf Jašík’s novel Námestie svätej Alžbety [The Square of St. Elizabeth], which are mainly manifested in the plan of the minor characters. These typified characters, transparently divided into good and bad, participate in the formation of the young novel hero against the backdrop of the Second World War, in the context of historical circumstances and the impetus of socio-political measures. The study asks to what extent authentic experience, (natural) human conviction and idealism enter into the (ideological) intention of the author.
