Abstrakt (ENG):
The aim of the study is to give an interpretation of Rudolf Fabry’s poem The Self is Someone Else (Ja je niekto iný, 1946). The author shows the presence of conventional elements of poetry in this book. Gradually, he reveals how elements more characteristic of the traditional type of poetry appear in this surrealistic book. It turns out that the poet was able to combine the conventional with the unconventional, thus creating a special form of Slovak surrealism.
