Abstrakt (ENG):

The aim of the study is to find out what forms the figure of the mother and motherhood take in the works of Ivana Dobraková (Pod slnkom Turína), Jana Micenková (Krv je len voda) and Vanda Rozenbergová (Zjedol som Lautreca). The author of the study analyzes the work of authors with a traditional image of the mother (a mother as a caring, self-sacrificing and kind woman), mothers’ relationships with themselves and with other family members. At the end of the study, the author summarizes and compares the findings, and informs about what forms the figure of the mother has in contemporary Slovak literature.
