Abstrakt (ENG):
The following paper focuses on the analysis and comparison of the review and critical responses that have dealt with the novel Submission by the French novelist Michel Houellebecq in recent years. It is based on the consideration of the dystopian character mode in literature and its close connection with the ideological and social context of the birth time of the given work. Thus, the study tries to verify the introductory hypothesis whether (and possibly to what extent) the evaluation texts are focused on subjective ideological reading, which, on the contrary, sidelines literary and aesthetic criteria. For the needs of our contribution, the analysis is based on a reciprocal sample of the total of seventeen articles from Czech literary (as well as other) non-disciplinary media.
