Abstrakt (ENG):

The paper focuses on describing the cultural-historical conditions of communication between Eastern and Western Christian traditions. In the setting of the Greek Catholic Church under the Carpathian Mountains, the conditions of the emergence of such Cyrillic texts of commentaries on the Gospel pericopes are illuminated, which were produced in vernacularized Church Slavonic and convey the Gospel message to the believer in a comprehensible, universally accessible way with allegorical examples. Allegorical interpretations of the biblical kerygma for the people did not require complex theological interpretations because the very presence of the example in the interpretation became its interpretation. It is allegories and examples that help to reveal the experiential sources of the biblical message in actual time and space. The authors of these expository, instructive, and didactic texts responded to the current conditions of life in the faith community and emphasized the value of the Christian and spiritual tradition.
