Abstrakt (ENG):

This paper reflects on the academic legacy of Professor Marta Keruľová within the context of the Nitra School methodology. It examines the intersections between her research in older literature and the author‘s focus on 20th and 21st-century spiritual literature. Special attention is paid to the archetypal motif of the journey and Keruľová’s significant contribution to the reception of Pavol Strauss’s work, specifically her analysis of Christian humor and his christocentric worldview. The study confirms that tradition and humanism remain vital pillars of Slovak literary science.
