Abstrakt (ENG):

The current media environment stimulates and supports various innovations in terms of ways of using language (as well as other sign resources that coexist with it and thus create a characteristic multimodality), the overall construction of the text and the general characteristics of the communication process. Until now established hierarchies and oppositions, such as public – private, official (institutional) – everyday life and individuality, professionalism – interest, expertise – non-expertise are being disrupted. The position of authors and recipients changes, the distance between them weakens and mutual contact is emphasized. In the linguistic component of the texts, the features of spontaneity and preparedness, talkativeness and handwriting, formality and informality,
literacy and non-literacy are connected. The article deals with the issue of linguistic and stylistic heterogeneity on the basis of contemporary Slovak internet communication with an emphasis on social networks. In the introduction, the issue of the diversity of means of expression in online communication on the spoken-written axis is emphasized, as well as
other active processes (multilingualism, expressiveness, democratization, liberalization and carnivalization of language). In the first part, the issue of spoken and written online communication in general is presented, while exemplifying material of syntactic and lexical devices typical for spoken texts of contemporary Slovak internet communication is presented together with comments. In the second part, the issue of means of written language is addressed, emphasizing the heterogeneity of syntactic means characteristic of written texts of contemporary Slovak internet communication. The third part presents specific means of Internet communication with an emphasis on social networks of Slovak users. This section also includes comments on exemplification related to acronyms, abbreviations and abbreviations representing common spoken phases and abbreviations of colloquial expressions, as well as frequently used idioms on Slovak social networks. In
the conclusion, a summary of the results of the investigated issue is given.
