An essential condition for the acceptance of submissions is their formatting in full compliance with the following guidelines.

I. FORMAL FORMATTING OF SUBMISSIONS:

a) Submissions may be sent in .doc, .docx, or .rtf formats;

b) The text must use Times New Roman font, size 12, with 1.5 line spacing;

c) The text must be left-aligned, and paragraphs must be indented using a tab.

II. GENRE SPECTRUM OF SUBMISSIONS:

a) Studies – original, previously unpublished works that present new scientific knowledge; length: 15–25 standard pages, including text, endnotes/footnotes, and references.

b) Review Articles – works that inform readers about the current state of knowledge, past developments, and main trends in research on a specific topic; length: 7–15 standard pages, including text, endnotes/footnotes, and references.

c) Reviews – academic reflections on new monographs and edited volumes in the field of literary studies (generally no older than 2–3 years); length: 2–5 standard pages.

d) Reports – informational texts about current academic and scientific life; length: 2–4 standard pages.

III. STRUCTURE OF SUBMISSIONS:

a) Studies and Articles:

  • title (and subtitle, if applicable),
  • author’s/authors’ full name(s),
  • ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) – author identifier (if the author does not have one, registration is required at orcid.org),
  • abstract in English (approx. 600 characters),
  • keywords in English,
  • main text,
  • reference list,
  • author details (full name, affiliation, email address).

b) Reviews:

  • author and title of the reviewed publication,
  • main text,
  • reviewer’s/reviewers’ full name(s),
  • author details (full name, affiliation, email address).

c) Reports:

  • title,
  • author’s/authors’ full name(s),
  • main text,
  • author details (full name, affiliation, email address).

IV. CITING SECONDARY LITERATURE:

a) Every borrowed assertion, idea, or data point from a secondary source must be accompanied by a bibliographic reference in the text. The reference is given directly in the text in parentheses, specifically: (Novák, 2018, p. 45).

b) Both direct quotations and paraphrases may be used when working with secondary literature; however, the original source must be cited in both cases.

c) All sources used in the text must be listed in detail in the concluding reference list. The list is ordered alphabetically by the authors’ last names.
